He was selected on probation as Equipment Officer Royal Flying Corps 28 February 1917: a banker of West Norwood, London S.E. He was appointed Lieutenant 1 April 1918, and his death was caused through fire in the Main Stores, Newcastle.

His parents married 25 December 1882 at St Paul’s, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. Thomas died 18 December 1932 in Hemel Hempstead aged 72, and was buried 21 December in Heath Lane Cemetery, Hemel Hempstead; Alice died 1946 in the Lewisham, London, district aged 83, and was buried 13 February, also in Heath Lane Cemetery.
Charles was born 12 December 1886 in Hemel Hempstead, and baptised 20 March 1887 at St Paul’s, Hemel Hempstead. He attended Watford Grammar School from February 1900 to April 1901. He married 22 May 1915 at St Pancras Parish Church, London; was a banker with the National Bank of India, Bishopsgate, London E.C. from 1908 to 1917, and was buried 19 August. Mabel remarried 25 August 1923 at St Luke’s, West Norwood, to Herbert William PAYNE, and died 25 April 1980 in the Epping Forest, Essex, district aged 94.
He has an entry in the National Probate Calendar.
On the 1891 Census, a scholar aged 4 he lived in Hemel Hempstead, with his parents and three siblings. On the 1901 Census, aged 14 he still lived in Hemel Hempstead, with his parents and three siblings. On the 1911 Census, a bank clerk aged 24, he still lived in Hemel Hempstead, with his parents and one sibling.
