THOMAS EDWARD BEEVOR

Remembered with honour Tyne Cot Memorial: Panel 113 to 115.

He enlisted in Bedford; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.  Unfortunately, Thomas’ Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.

Son of Francis Joseph and the late Mary Ann (nee HANOVER) BEEVOR; husband of Alice Maud (nee BRADLEY) BEEVOR of Oxhey, Herts.

His parents married 1870 in the Marylebone, London, district.  Mary died 1914 aged 66; Francis died 1923 aged 73; both in the Marylebone district.

Thomas was born 1880 in Marylebone, and married 26 December 1912 at All Saints, St John’s Wood, London; they had one child.  Alice never remarried, she died 1941 in Watford aged 61, and was buried 26 November in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford.

On the 1881 Census, aged 1 he lived in St John’s Wood, with his parents and four siblings.  On the 1891 Census, a scholar aged 10, he still lived in St John’s Wood, with his parents and seven siblings.  On the 1901 Census, he is proving elusive.  On the 1911 Census, a gardener’s assistant aged 31, he still lived in St John’s Wood, with his parents and two siblings.
