Cassiobury House 1922
Little Cassiobury is not the only surviving structure from the great Cassiobury estate. In fact, there are a number of buildings scattered around Watford that carry a rich history. Many of the surviving buildings were lodges built for employees of the estate and "designed with the two-fold object of being both useful and ornamental" (John Britton, The History and Description of Cassiobury Park, 1837). Several of these buildings are still used as family homes whilst others have been converted for different purposes.
