Reaching six metres in depth, this structure is thought to have been constructed to serve the house at the same time as the renovation of Cassiobury House by James Wyatt in the early nineteenth-century. Unique within Watford, this former ice house would have been filled with ice and used to keep drinks and foodstuffs chilled throughout the year.
Please note this is a private building. There is no public access.
