Albert Blewitt

I saw that you have my great uncle on your website. He was my great uncle. The information you have have is correct. He went to live with his grandparents after his father had been killed by a train while using a railway bridge over the River Don near Rotherham. His brother, Thomas Ernest Blewitt was also killed in WWI. Another brother, William Thomas Blewitt, survived the war but died in a mining accident in 1940. The three brothers were a nephew of William Thomas Wooldridge (Billy) who was a famous footballer. He was captain of Wolves when they won the FA Cup in 1908.
