Watford Engineering 1942-1944

Would anyone know where this company was located. My grandfather worked here and as I live in Canada I was hoping that someone might point me in the right location in hopes of finding out more.
The family lived at 100 Mildred Avenue in Watford. Any help much appreciated.

  • I worked there in the late sixties. They made Paper Pulp Machines, and had their own foundry. It was located on the banks of the River Colne, Lower Watford High Street.

  • Many years ago I purchased the original iron gates from the Watford Engineering Works from George Ausdens Scrap Metal Merchants. At one time I used them for my house gates but after many years have just replaced them with new ones and put the old WEW gates in storage .
